Silver Soldering and Brazing

Triad offers hard silver soldering and silver brazing services, as well as low temperature silver soldering. These operations are offered on a standalone basis and also are available as part of our overall manufacturing capacity, which includes custom fabrication of aluminum, copper, steel, stainless steel and ferrous metals.

Hard silver soldering and silver brazing involve higher temperatures and require a silver alloy with a higher melting point than that used in ordinary soldering. Usually, hard silver soldering is used to connect two pieces of metal and form a strong joint, filling pores in the metal through capillary action. On the other hand, soft or low temperature silver soldering is used to bridge gaps and spaces.

Torch brazing is sometimes also known as braze welding and utilizes a filler alloy, melted by an oxyacetylene torch, to join pieces of metal, in a process that does not involve capillary action. Torch brazing is an operation that requires considerable skill to produce excellent results, and our workers have the kind of extensive torch brazing experience to deliver the results your project needs.
